As a Security Officer - Armed Flex Patrol in Tacoma, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the financial institution and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access control systems to help to deter unauthorized entry and support the presence of only authorized personnel in restricted areas.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of observations, incidents, and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed during critical events, following established protocols.
  • Support site personnel and/or visitors by providing information and assistance related to security-related matters within the location.
  • Adhere to all company, client, and legal regulations regarding the use and handling of firearms while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 years of security experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
