As a Security Professional - Telecom Patrol - Part Time in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech and media environment, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and remaining a visible presence throughout the location. Your role involves monitoring assigned areas, assisting with security-related matters, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with the management of any issues that arise.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both the business interior and perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activities and observe for any irregularities.
  • Maintain detailed logs and write reports on daily activities, incidents, or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Collaborate with site staff and visitors in a professional manner, answering questions and providing assistance as needed.
  • Remain alert and observant throughout the shift, monitoring access points and reporting any concerns to the appropriate parties.
  • Adhere to all Allied Universal and site-specific policies, maintaining a high standard of professionalism while on duty.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
