Job Description


As a Security Guard - Chemical Facility Patrol Driver in Pekin, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents through routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at a chemical and petrochemical location. Your responsibilities include monitoring assigned areas, responding to incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication. This post requires a valid driver's license, as you will need to drive as part of your patrol responsibilities. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm and problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols within the chemical and petrochemical environment, including the business premises and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and report irregularities.
  • Monitor and report on any security-related concerns or unusual activity observed during patrols in and around the location.
  • Communicate clearly with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives regarding incidents or site-specific needs.
  • Support access control measures, including checking credentials and monitoring entry and exit points as required by site procedures.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of security-related activities, incidents, and patrols for reporting purposes.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
