Job Description


As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol in Ladson, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you interact with employees and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to incidents as needed, and support access control measures. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial site and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe activities, reporting any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management, site personnel, and emergency responders as required.
  • Document observations, incidents, and security-related activity according to company protocols.
  • Remain attentive to changing conditions at the location to help support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and property.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
