Job Description


As a Security Officer – Auto Sector Patrol in Vance, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout an automotive location. Your visible presence and exceptional customer service will support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. You will monitor assigned areas, assist with access control, and utilize technology to document activities while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment for staff, visitors, and property.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the automotive location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Observe and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or suspicious activities during patrols or while on post.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, guests, and Allied Universal team members to convey important information and maintain a visible presence.
  • Complete necessary documentation and incident reports in accordance with Allied Universal and client policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
