Job Description


As a Security Officer - Access Control and Patrol in YORK, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in monitoring and patrolling a dynamic automotive manufacturing location. Your responsibilities include conducting regular patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing exceptional customer service with clear communication. This is a driving post, requiring you to navigate the premises to support a secure environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within an automotive facility.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and property.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any suspicious, unsafe, or unauthorized activity in a timely manner to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying authorization for personnel and vehicles as required by site procedures.
  • Support emergency response protocols, including assisting with evacuations or directing first responders as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and incident reports as required by Allied Universal and client policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
