As a Security Officer – Hospital Entry Patrol in Monroeville, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas to help to deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and respond to incidents with professionalism and empathy. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to maintain order within the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns and observe for any unusual activity.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate incidents or suspicious activity to Allied Universal management and/or site leadership as appropriate.
  • Assist with access control procedures and visitor management as required by site-specific protocols.
  • Support medical staff and visitors by providing directions and answering basic questions related to the location.
  • Document security-related incidents and complete reports as directed by Allied Universal or site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Vaccines are required for hospital assignments.
  • Ability to work in hospital morgue areas is required.
  • Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting is required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
