As a Security Officer - Flex Museum Patrol in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a cultural institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing excellent customer service and clear communication to help create a welcoming environment. This role supports a caring, people-first culture, encouraging teamwork and integrity as you help to foster a secure atmosphere for all who visit and work at the location.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a cultural institution setting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing knowledge of the unique environment of cultural institutions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity or security-related incidents as per site protocols.
  • Support the cultural institution staff and guests by assisting with access control and providing information or directions as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with location staff and law enforcement personnel when required, following all Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and any other security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
