As a Security Officer - Tech Campus Patrol in Coopersville, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a dynamic tech and media environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents and support a secure atmosphere. You will conduct routine patrols, engage in access control, and provide outstanding customer service while communicating with employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access in a technology-related environment.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members regarding security-related matters.
• Document observations and incidents in accordance with site procedures, providing accurate and timely reports as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
• CPR or First Aid certification is preferred.
• A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
