As a Security Guard - Academic Facility Patrol Driver in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and remaining visible throughout the educational location. You will play a key role in maintaining a welcoming and secure atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors, while delivering exceptional customer service. This position requires a valid driver's license, as you may be responsible for driving during your patrol duties. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while on duty.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide assistance as needed to staff, students, and visitors.
• Document and report any incidents, suspicious activity, or maintenance issues observed during patrols.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and location staff to support a secure and welcoming environment for all individuals present.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
