Job Description


As a Security Guard - Unarmed Healthcare Patrol Driver in Fishersville, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a healthcare location, where you'll monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming environment. You will conduct regular patrols, remain visible throughout the facility, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This position requires driving responsibilities, giving you the opportunity to interact with a variety of people and situations throughout your shift. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards in and around the healthcare location.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel, site staff, and local authorities as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and observations as required by site policy.
  • Assist with access control processes, monitoring entry and exit points, and verifying identification as needed.
  • Support the enforcement of facility rules, regulations, and policies to help maintain order within the healthcare environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
