Job Description


As a Security Officer - Healthcare Site Patrol - Full Time in Frederick, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a leading healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a reassuring presence. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, maintaining visibility to support a secure environment, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare environments.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the location, including interior and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Document and report any observed irregularities, such as property damage, unusual occurrences, or unauthorized individuals, according to company and site guidelines.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying identification, and assisting with visitor management as required.
  • Remain alert to potential hazards and security-related issues within the healthcare setting, responding appropriately and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with emergency response activities, including evacuations and coordination with first responders, as directed by Allied Universal protocols.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance while representing Allied Universal at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Being at least 21 years of age is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • CPR and/or first aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
