Job Description


As a Security Professional - Distribution Entry Access in Northampton, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal at a major logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Your visible presence and commitment to exceptional customer service will contribute to a welcoming and secure environment for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry to the logistics and distribution location.
  • Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises to maintain authorized access.
  • Provide customer service by answering inquiries and assisting visitors and staff in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal procedures and site guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Support emergency response activities as appropriate, coordinating with site personnel and local responders when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
