As a Security Professional - Telecom Patrol - Part Time in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic technology and media location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents and provide support to the onsite team. You will interact with visitors and staff, assist with access control and respond to incidents, all while delivering excellent customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and adhering to site-specific policies, including responding to emergencies when appropriate.
  • Help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment by conducting regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal's protocols and any location-specific guidelines.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or potential threats to property or personnel, using provided communication tools and reporting systems.
  • Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and vendors, offering assistance and guidance as needed within the location.
  • Maintain awareness of the location's unique requirements and adapt patrol routines or responses accordingly, particularly in a technology, media, or telecom environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training related to security-related duties, emergency response, and customer service as provided by Allied Universal.

Minimum Requirements:

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
