Job Description


As a Security Officer - Distribution Access Gate in Hardeeville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional in an access control role within a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, manage visitor access, and perform routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. You will remain visible throughout your shift, interact with personnel and guests, and provide exceptional customer service while utilizing technology to support daily operations. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including access control protocols.
  • Monitor and control entry and exit points for personnel, visitors, and vehicles, helping to maintain authorized access to the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity; adjust patrol frequency based on client needs.
  • Document and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or breaches according to Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by site policies or Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with onsite staff and management to address security-related concerns and provide information as requested.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or a rustic guard shack are preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
