Job Description


As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Rounds in New Castle, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure and welcoming environment for all staff, patients, and visitors. Your presence and routine patrols will help to deter security-related incidents, while your commitment to exceptional customer service and clear communication will support a positive atmosphere. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location and around its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and/or site leadership in a timely manner.
  • Support healthcare staff and visitors by answering questions and providing assistance as appropriate during patrols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs and reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare staff and other Allied Universal team members to support security-related needs and emergency response activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
