As a Security Guard - Government Building Patrol in Long Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will actively monitor and patrol designated areas, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, providing outstanding customer service, and communicating clearly with visitors and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
• Interact with personnel and visitors to offer assistance and support as appropriate.
• Document observations and incidents according to company and client protocols.
• Collaborate with local authorities and Allied Universal management in the event of emergencies or incidents.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions or security-related concerns at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
