As a Security Professional - Armed Government Driver in Bayboro, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. This armed and driving post requires conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding as appropriate to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for any unusual activity and helping to deter potential security-related incidents.
  • Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas as required by site policies.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management, law enforcement, and emergency responders when necessary.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, patrols, and observations during each shift.
  • Remain alert and aware of surroundings, adapting to changing environments and conditions specific to government facilities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • At least 6 months of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
