As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, providing visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and delivering excellent customer service through clear communication and supportive interactions. What You'll Do:

  • Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the healthcare location in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment for staff, visitors, and patients.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter, observing and reporting any unusual activity or conditions.
  • Help to deter unauthorized individuals and/or disruptive behavior by maintaining a visible presence throughout the healthcare location.
  • Document observations and incidents according to Allied Universal and site guidelines, maintaining accurate and thorough records.
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with staff, visitors, and the public while performing post duties.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas as directed by site policies.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal management, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed during incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Vaccinations required for hospital positions.
  • Ability to work in a hospital morgue is required.
  • Ability to restrain individuals in a hospital setting is required.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
