As a Security Officer - Financial Institution Patrol in Harrisburg, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will actively monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents. Your visible presence will be crucial in fostering a secure environment while you engage with clients, visitors, and staff, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. You will also play a key role in access control and may use technology such as computers or tablets to support your duties. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the financial institution and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Document observations and incidents as required, maintaining detailed and accurate reports in accordance with Allied Universal policies.
• Communicate with clients, visitors, and staff in a professional manner, providing assistance and information as needed.
• Follow post orders and instructions from Allied Universal management and site supervisors to maintain a secure environment at the client location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
