As a Security Guard - Mall Patrol Driver in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol (Unarmed) Officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and contribute to a welcoming environment. Utilizing your customer service skills, you will remain visible, interact with visitors, and provide support as needed. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail and mall location and its perimeter, maintaining a visible Allied Universal presence to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or hazards encountered during patrols.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, tenants, and/or mall staff as needed to assist with inquiries or direct them to appropriate resources.
• Complete detailed and accurate incident and activity reports as required by site protocols.
• Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points as needed.
• Collaborate with mall management and/or law enforcement as required during incidents or emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
