Job Description


As a Security Guard - Access Control Driver in Travelers Rest, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and provide exceptional service at a residential location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to residents and visitors, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service skills. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control at entry points.
  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of residents, visitors, and other persons to help to deter unauthorized access within the residential community.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and provide a visible security-related presence.
  • Report and document any security-related incidents, irregularities, or unusual situations according to site and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, coordinating with local emergency services as needed.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, guests, and property management to address questions and provide information related to access control and security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
