Job Description


As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol Coverage FT in Westlake, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Professional with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. By being a visible presence throughout the location, you will provide exceptional customer service, respond to incidents, and support a caring and reliable atmosphere. You will be part of a dedicated team that puts people first, values teamwork, and operates with integrity, all while helping to create a positive experience for everyone on-site.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including responding to emergencies when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the healthcare location in a calm and problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other areas of the location to help to deter unauthorized persons or suspicious activity.
  • Document observations and report security-related incidents through appropriate channels as required by Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Assist staff, patients, and visitors with general inquiries and directions while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Support emergency response activities such as evacuations or drills as directed by site management or Allied Universal protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proof of vaccinations is required for hospital settings.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
