Job Description


As a Security Professional - Manufacturing Access Control in Monroe, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a vital role in access control by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and conducting regular patrols to help deter security-related incidents. Your visible presence and commitment to delivering outstanding customer service will foster a welcoming environment for all visitors and employees. This role requires driving responsibilities, allowing you to maintain a strong security-related presence throughout the site. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access to the facility, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors in accordance with site-specific procedures.
  • Provide customer service and support to individuals entering or exiting the manufacturing and industrial location, addressing questions and assisting as needed.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related incidents, or potential hazards to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related issues.
  • Maintain detailed logs and records of all access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by site policies.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff to maintain a positive and service-oriented environment.
  • Comply with all Allied Universal and site-specific policies, procedures, and training requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • A primarily driving post is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
