Job Description


As a Security Officer - Industrial Access Driver in Monroe, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Security Officer assigned to an access control post in a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents, and providing exceptional customer service and clear communication to everyone onsite. This role is a driving position and requires a valid driver’s license. What You'll Do:

  • Assist with access control procedures at the manufacturing and industrial location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points.
  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by following site-specific access and security-related procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report any irregularities.
  • Monitor and report security-related concerns, including suspicious persons or activities, to the appropriate personnel.
  • Follow emergency response procedures as required, including assisting during evacuations or other incidents.
  • Complete required documentation and logs related to access control and incidents as directed by Allied Universal and site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
