As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail or mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment for everyone. Your presence provides reassurance to visitors and staff, while you deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and monitor for unusual circumstances.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or security-related incidents encountered during patrols.
• Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and/or site representatives regarding incidents, concerns, or escalations as needed.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, and help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site procedures.
• Provide visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activity within the retail or mall environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
