As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol - Full Time in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a government environment, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, providing a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct regular patrols and interact with the public and staff, delivering exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized or suspicious activity.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to the public and staff.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to control entry and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Interact with the public, staff, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner while upholding security-related protocols.
  • Report and document any unusual activity, incidents, or maintenance issues in accordance with Allied Universal and client site policies.
  • Remain alert and attentive to surroundings at all times, especially while armed, to respond appropriately to any security-related incident.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed during critical situations or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
