Job Description


As a Security Professional - Armed Government Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment at a government location. You will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond promptly to any situations that arise. As an armed post, you will be entrusted with additional responsibilities while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and care. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned areas and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and to observe for unusual activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas within the location to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Complete detailed reports of incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed during incidents and/or emergencies.
  • Maintain awareness of the environment and communicate any security-related concerns or issues to Allied Universal management and client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Possess a current armed guard card or license as required by local laws and regulations.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED).
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Hold a current CPR certification, which is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
