Job Description


As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol - Full Time in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible and approachable presence. This role requires you to be armed and to operate vehicles in accordance with post requirements, contributing to the overall security and customer service experience. You will interact with the public and team members, upholding Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, and integrity as you work together to create a welcoming and secure environment.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related incidents and identify any irregularities.
  • Monitor and control access to the premises, checking identification and verifying authorization as required by site policies.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, observations, and incidents encountered during patrols.
  • Interact professionally with members of the public, staff, and visitors, offering assistance and addressing inquiries as needed.
  • Remain alert and attentive to surroundings, promptly reporting any suspicious activities or potential hazards to the proper authorities.
  • Carry a firearm in accordance with state and local regulations, maintaining readiness to respond as necessary within the guidelines of Allied Universal and client policies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • An Armed Guard Card or license is required.
  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A valid Class B driver's license with passenger endorsment is required.
  • Applicants must be able to ride a bike as required by the post assignment.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
