Job Description


As a Security Officer - Industrial Patrol Operations in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and interact with individuals on-site, delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with any security-related issues that may arise on-site.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and observe any unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and observe activities within the manufacturing and industrial environment to help to deter unauthorized entry or actions.
  • Document and report any suspicious activity, security-related incidents, or maintenance concerns to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or site management.
  • Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing assistance and information as required while maintaining a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Follow all Allied Universal and client policies, procedures, and protocols specific to the manufacturing and industrial setting.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
