As a Security Guard - Manufacturing Access Entry in Independence, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, checking badges, and verifying visitor credentials. Your role involves regular patrols of the premises, maintaining a visible presence, and providing outstanding customer service to everyone on site. You will use computer or tablet systems to support access control functions. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access points at the manufacturing and industrial location to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.
  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following established security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and client guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and along the perimeter to help to deter security-related risks and/or identify potential issues.
  • Document observations, incidents, and/or activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed, including coordination with on-site personnel and first responders as needed.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related incidents and promote a professional environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Willingness to work at locations with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
