Job Description


As a Security Guard Armed Patrol Government in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in helping to deter security-related incidents within a government environment. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols of the assigned location, maintaining a highly visible presence, and responding to incidents as needed. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry out your duties with professionalism and integrity. You will also provide excellent customer service and clear communication, all while upholding the values of teamwork and reliability that define Allied Universal.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor and observe activities in assigned locations, reporting any suspicious behavior and/or security-related incidents as required.
  • Work collaboratively with law enforcement and other personnel as appropriate for the location.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and patrols as required by Allied Universal policies and client protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess an active armed guard card or license.
  • Handcuffing certification is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
