What You'll Do:

• Carry out armed security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal, providing customer service to clients and visitors at a government location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including emergencies where armed intervention may be necessary.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or criminal behavior.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the location as required by site protocols.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities observed during assigned shifts.
• Communicate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and/or site management as needed to report incidents or request assistance.
• Follow all instructions related to the handling and carrying of firearms in accordance with Allied Universal and client-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
