As a Armed Security Officer - Court Buildings in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with security-related needs.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and promptly report any observations according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and contractors with access procedures while maintaining awareness of security-related concerns.
  • Support law enforcement and/or emergency responders as needed during critical situations at the government location.
  • Maintain detailed logs and write reports documenting activities, incidents, and/or observations during assigned shifts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, or military positions.
  • Must possess an armed guard card or license as required by applicable regulations.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
