Job Description


As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Driver in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively patrol and monitor a commercial real estate location, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence throughout the facility. This role requires both armed and driving responsibilities, utilizing your expertise to protect the premises and deliver outstanding customer service. You will interact with visitors and staff, support a welcoming environment, and embody Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, and teamwork in every aspect of your work.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and promote a secure environment.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management and local authorities as necessary during incidents or emergencies.
  • Monitor and control access points to the facility, verifying identification and credentials as required.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
  • Remain alert and aware of surroundings to identify and report any suspicious activity or potential security-related threats.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An active Armed Guard Card or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
