Job Description


As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver - Aero in Asheville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Patrol Officer in an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment. You will remain highly visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service through clear and professional communication. What You'll Do:

  • Deliver excellent customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response protocols as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, helping to de-escalate situations as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random security-related patrols throughout the location and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and maintaining a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, staff, and visitors to provide information and directions as needed, while maintaining a security-related presence.
  • Document incidents, observations, and activities according to company and client protocols.
  • Support Allied Universal in maintaining a secure environment within the aero and defense sector by consistently applying site-specific policies and security-related practices.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
