What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by performing security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
• Maintain detailed and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and activities during patrols.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and students to provide information and assistance as needed.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal management and local authorities when required for incident resolution.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
