As a Security Professional  - Armed Government Center - Full Time in Hookerton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor and assess situations, reporting any suspicious activity or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and follow all post orders and directives from Allied Universal management.
  • Perform duties in accordance with local regulations and site-specific requirements for government locations.
  • Carry and be responsible for a firearm while performing duties, complying with all applicable laws and Allied Universal policies for armed personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must possess an armed guard card or armed guard license.
  • Must have at least six months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
