As a Security Guard – Retail Patrol Driver in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout a bustling retail location. Your role supports a welcoming environment for visitors and staff, while delivering top-tier customer service and clear communication. This position requires a valid driver's license and involves driving responsibilities as part of your patrol duties. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or potential risks within the retail environment.
• Assist with access control, verifying credentials as appropriate for entry and exit points.
• Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and reporting suspicious behavior.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management.
• Complete required reports and documentation as directed by site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
