As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol - Overnight Shift in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Armed Officer where you will monitor and patrol government locations, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other critical areas to help to deter unauthorized access or activities.
  • Identify and report security-related concerns, hazards, or unusual situations to appropriate personnel.
  • Document incidents and maintain detailed reports as required by site-specific procedures.
  • Support emergency response efforts, including coordinating with law enforcement and/or emergency responders when needed.
  • Handle access control, verify identification, and enforce client policies and procedures at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
