Job Description


As a Armed Security Officer - Government Patrol - Full Time in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through visible presence and routine patrols. This role involves engaging with the public, providing outstanding customer service, and maintaining clear communication to support a secure environment. You will be equipped as an armed professional and may be required to patrol areas on a bike, contributing to the overall security-related efforts. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor and report any unusual or suspicious activities to Allied Universal management and/or appropriate authorities.
  • Enforce access control procedures and verify identification of individuals entering restricted areas.
  • Assist with crowd control and help to deter disruptive behavior as needed at the location.
  • Work in collaboration with local law enforcement and emergency response teams when required.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to security-related situations involving public transportation systems and facilities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must have at least 3 years combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or hold a college degree.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to ride a bike.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
