Job Description


As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol - Morning Shift in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. This armed post involves conducting routine patrols and interacting with the public, providing outstanding customer service while addressing various security-related needs. You will be part of a team that values reliability, agility, and innovation, and you will play an important role in fostering a welcoming environment through teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate judgement and protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious persons, activities or conditions to the appropriate personnel and/or authorities.
  • Assist in controlling access to restricted areas of the location, checking credentials and authorizations as required.
  • Maintain accurate logs and incident reports in accordance with Allied Universal and location-specific requirements.
  • Remain alert and observant while on post, prepared to take prompt action in accordance with emergency protocols.
  • Interact professionally with staff, visitors and/or the public, providing directions or assistance as necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license as required.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or General Education Diploma equivalent as required by the client.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
