Job Description


As a Security Professional - Government Patrol Licensed in Yonkers, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols, maintaining a visible presence, and providing outstanding customer service. You will play an integral role in creating a secure environment through communication and teamwork, reflecting Allied Universal’s values of integrity, reliability, and innovation. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, keeping professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related issues to the appropriate personnel according to company and client protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed logs and/or reports regarding daily activities, incidents, and any security-related occurrences.
  • Work collaboratively with site personnel, law enforcement, and/or emergency responders as needed during critical situations.
  • Remain alert and attentive while performing patrols, adapting to changing environments and conditions at the government facility.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid Security Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
