As a Security Officer - Armed Bike Patrol - Retail in Weslaco, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout a retail location. You will maintain a visible presence to support a secure environment while responding to incidents as needed. Your role includes interacting with visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service, and upholding our commitment to integrity and teamwork. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following location-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify any security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious behavior.
• Document and report any security-related incidents or unusual observations to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives according to established protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location while carrying assigned equipment and/or arms, in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
• Assist with access control procedures by verifying credentials when required and providing directions or information to guests and employees as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid Armed Guard Card or license.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification if required by the state of Texas.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
