Job Description


As a Security Professional - Telecom Patrol in New Albany, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic technology-focused location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help maintain a secure environment. Your presence and regular patrols will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to visitors and team members. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, always putting people first and working together with integrity to support a welcoming atmosphere.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a secure environment.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related violations, or hazardous conditions to appropriate personnel.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to uphold the security-related protocols unique to the tech and data center environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of security-related activities, incidents, and/or observations during patrols.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required by site policy.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
