As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, staying visible to help deter security-related incidents and support a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining composure.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Carry a firearm as part of the duties and follow all applicable protocols for armed security-related posts.
  • Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and provide a secure atmosphere for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Document incidents and complete required reports accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and/or emergency personnel to support incident response and security-related operations.
  • Remain alert to surroundings and potential security-related issues within the healthcare location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state and/or local regulations.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a valid New Jersey Retired Police Officer certificate.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
