Job Description


As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Randleman, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, manage access points, and remain visible while providing outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license. What You'll Do:

  • Control access to the manufacturing and industrial location by verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors, maintaining logs as required by site procedures.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.
  • Provide customer service by assisting employees and visitors with directions or information while following site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and escalating as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to observe and report on conditions, helping to identify and report security-related concerns.
  • Document security-related activities, incidents, and observations accurately and promptly according to Allied Universal and client requirements.
  • Support emergency response activities on site when appropriate, communicating with appropriate personnel and following established emergency procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
