As a Security Officer - Armed Flex Patrol Driver in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you’ll use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and Pick up open shifts based on your availability—giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you, while gaining valuable site experience across various industries. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents while monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. This is an armed and driving post, where you will remain highly visible, respond to situations with professionalism, and interact with staff and visitors to provide exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide high-quality customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the healthcare location in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing armed response as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the healthcare environment to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Communicate and coordinate with Allied Universal management and local authorities as necessary regarding incidents and/or emergencies.
  • Document security-related activities, incidents, and observations according to site requirements.
  • Support the healthcare environment by assisting staff, visitors, and patients with security-related needs and inquiries.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a valid concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Have at least six months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license in the state where the job is located.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
