Job Description


As a Security Professional - Patient Reception Desk in Malvern, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, patients, and staff. Your role involves monitoring the front entrance, verifying credentials, managing guest access, and assisting with security-related inquiries while providing outstanding customer service. You will help to deter potential incidents by remaining attentive and responsive, contributing to a welcoming and secure environment. What You'll Do:

  • Greet and assist visitors, patients, and staff at the front desk, providing excellent customer service in a healthcare environment.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations as appropriate to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site-specific procedures and Allied Universal protocols.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, unusual activities, and/or emergencies according to site requirements.
  • Communicate professionally with visitors, patients, and staff to address inquiries and provide information related to site access or security-related matters.
  • Assist with managing deliveries and directing visitors to appropriate areas within the facility, maintaining orderly entry and exit processes.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, remaining stationed at the front desk to coordinate communication with Allied Universal and onsite personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent as required by the client.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
