Job Description


As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Driver in Midland, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Armed officer and play a vital role in helping to deter security-related incidents at a leading chemical and petrochemical location. You will conduct regular patrols, maintain a strong and visible presence, and interact with employees and visitors to provide outstanding customer service. This position requires armed duties and involves driving responsibilities as part of your patrols. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding to incidents and emergencies as needed.
  • Carry and responsibly handle a firearm in accordance with company and site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions and communicating with appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols both inside the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas within the chemical or petrochemical location.
  • Interact with visitors, employees, and contractors in a professional manner while maintaining awareness of surroundings.
  • Assist with emergency response activities, including evacuations and/or lockdowns, as required by site procedures.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities for review by Allied Universal and client management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have at least one year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
  • Level III armed certification is required for positions in Texas.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
